Ayanna Pressley and Conan Harris
The deed is reported in his name. They do not live at 25 Malta Street. Police say there is nothing that indicates a connection between the owners and this killing. This page does not charge them.
Police line
“There is absolutely nothing that indicates any connection to the owners of the property.”
Mariellen Burns, Boston Police. Repeated by the Globe and the Herald.
Ayanna Pressley
U.S. Representative, Massachusetts 7th District
“The Congresswoman extends her deepest condolences to the impacted family.”
“I am devastated about the death of Yoseliani Marte, an 18-year-old with so many dreams ahead of her, her life cut short by domestic violence. As the parent of a teenager, the thought of a young person violently losing her life in this way is beyond crushing. I stand with our community and everyone who loved Yoseliani as we grieve this deep loss.”
She uses the family’s domestic-violence frame. That is her statement. It is not a medical-examiner finding and not a charge.
Conan Harris
Reported purchaser, May 14, recorded May 17, 2021, for $340,000. That price is an aggregator last-sale field, not a downloaded Suffolk deed. Husband of Ayanna Pressley. The 2026 asking prices were $1.2 million, then $1.15 million. Ownership of a rental is not evidence he was in apartment #2, and it is not evidence he killed anyone. The chain, including the 2017 foreclosure figure, is on the deeds page. It does not make the purchase a crime.
He and Ayanna Pressley live in Hyde Park. They were not at the house on July 18. Pressley is not on the deed.
On July 30, standing at the house, Harris told NBC10 Boston reporter Brittany Cadet he wanted the story to be about the young woman who died there.
Disclosures, as reported
Unverified Federal financial disclosures, as reported by Mass Daily News and the Daily Caller, list as much as $100,000 in 2025 rental income from this address. The 2024 House form, which is the one in the entities drawer, does not print the street. Those stories are not a rent roll, and they are not a motive finding.
Other public record · not a Malta Street chargeCriminal history, and a courthouse deal people keep attaching
Other public record Commenters attach two facts that are not this homicide. They stay in this drawer so they are not mistaken for an answer to who shot her.
Harris served about ten years in federal prison on a drug-trafficking conviction. That sentence ended years before the 2021 deed. He has said he was involved in a street gang as a young man in Dorchester. He later worked in Boston violence-prevention and reentry. None of that is a Boston Police statement about July 18, 2026. An IRS lien for $17,430 was filed in December 2018 and paid in January 2019. He did not own this house yet. The Springfield case is in the courts drawer. They are not this house.
In July 2026 his firm, CoJo Partners, was part of Liberty Junction, the team picked for a Springfield courthouse lease reported at about $2 billion over 40 to 60 years. Losing bidders sued. Comment sections glued that deal to this body. They stay in this drawer. They are not evidence of who shot her.
