Drawer 2 · Deeds
A secondary-source chain
Not a substitute for the Suffolk PDFs. Until those instruments are in the file, every dollar on this page is an aggregator figure.
Compiled September 29, 2026 · book and page not yet cited · owner of record from May 2021 is Conan Harris · Ayanna Pressley and Conan Harris do not live at the house
How to certify this
Anyone can do it. Book and page is the only citation that counts.

What the cards say
Homes.com public-records table, FastPeopleSearch transaction history, assessor and listing cards. A people-search hit is not a lease, and it is not a tenant list. This table is title chatter only.

How to read it
A reading. Not a theory of the killing.
- Charlot in 1988, then Hinds in 2004, is an ordinary two-family sale on these cards.
- The 2017 HSBC figure of $859,715 is what aggregators stamp when a bank takes title. Confirm it with the foreclosure deed and the affidavit of sale.
- Four years of bank, REO, or possible LLC ownership sit between 2017 and Harris.
- May 2021 is two lines on Homes.com: JLH LLC, and Harris at $340,000, the same month. That usually means Harris bought the REO through or from JLH LLC, or a same-week entity hop. The PDFs will say which. This page will not.
- A first mortgage larger than the price is a note that needs a lender. It is not a finding.
- The later stack — $515,000, $547,700, $679,700, then $100,000 in January 2026 — looks like refinances or construction draws while the building was renovated and the accessory unit went in. Assessor cards show the building value moving from $344,000 in 2023 to $612,000 in 2025, which fits new work. Lender names live on the mortgages, not on Zillow. The city card is the next drawer.
What people said about the pile
“Bought 25 Malta out of foreclosure for $340K, about half Zillow’s estimated value.”
The dates match the aggregator cards. The sentence does not replace the 2021 deed. “Out of foreclosure” can mean bought from the bank, bought from someone who bought at foreclosure, or bought a house that had been through foreclosure years earlier. HSBC’s stamp is 2017. Harris’s card is 2021. Four years sit between them.
Still owed
From the registry, download and name these. Until they sit here, this file will not say that Harris assumed the HSBC loan, and it will not say that he cashed out a refinance for a stated purpose. We do not have the notes.
- 1988 Charlot deed and mortgage
- 2004 Hinds deed and mortgage
- 2017 HSBC foreclosure deed, affidavit of sale, and any assignment of mortgage
- May 2021 Harris deed: book and page, and the grantor — HSBC, JLH LLC, or both
- May 2021 mortgage of $400,000, including the lender
- May 2021 and February 2022 quitclaims: who to whom, and whether consideration was zero
- November 2021, April 2022, July 2023, and January 2026 mortgages: lender, amount, and whether each discharged the note before it
What this drawer does not decide
- It does not name a tenant.
- It does not name a shooter.
- It does not make the 2017 foreclosure a 2026 motive.
- It does not make a $340,000 purchase a crime.
This lot changed hands. A bank took it. Harris bought it cheap in 2021, on these cards. The recorded mortgage balance climbed while the building was renovated. That is the whole finding.
Next drawer: the city card. Assessing, permits, violations, and 311 at this number only.
